Job summary

Bohler in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer ready to lead site design challenges and mentor junior engineers. You’ll own grading, drainage, utilities, permitting, and ensure quality and compliance on complex land development projects.

You’ll collaborate with project teams, coordinate with clients and regulators, and apply hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D to deliver build-ready designs for Central PA communities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of land development design and permitting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.

• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
