Job summary

Bohler's Towson, MD office is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead site design, grading, utilities, stormwater, and permitting, ensuring quality, constructability, and compliance.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and regulators, perform hydrology calculations with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and contribute to project budgeting and planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of land development design and permitting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
