Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for civil construction projects in Southern California, based in San Diego. You will oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring safety, schedule and budget adherence.

You will coordinate with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors and owners, manage budgets and change orders, and drive project success while upholding quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in civil construction, heavy civil, underground utilities, or infrastructure.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost controls, change orders, and project documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining schedule and profitability.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil construction projects from planning and preconstruction through final completion.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, cost forecasts, and progress reports.
• Coordinate daily with superintendents, project engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
• Oversee change orders, subcontract agreements, RFIs, submittals, and contract administration.
• Monitor project costs, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to support project planning and execution.
