Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a senior project leader to direct construction projects up to $15 million, ensuring profitable outcomes and safety. You will guide estimators, controllers, and site teams, managing resources to meet ambitious schedules and client expectations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
• 3–5 years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum 5 years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in private or public environments.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and controls to set budgets.
• Lead estimating on integrated projects ensuring bid-to-build accuracy.
• Coordinate with estimators and sponsors to manage resources for schedule.
• Participate in bid reviews and develop bid schedules.
• Develop startup and kickoff plans with sponsors and team.
• Facilitate cross-team communication to ensure efficient, profitable, and safe work.
• Maintain job controls for quantities, costs, revenue, schedule.
• Build relationships with owners, agencies, subs, management to foster partnerships.
• Produce accurate construction reports for continuous improvement.
• Manage projects to meet/exceed margins.
• Support safety initiatives for a safe environment.
