Curtis Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Civil Senior Project Manager to lead administrative, technical, and operational management of major highway and civil construction projects in the Charlottesville area.

You will serve as the primary contact, ensuring safety, budget, schedule, and quality goals while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. The successful candidate will show leadership, results-driven approach, and a passion for construction to uphold our commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 10 years of progressive construction experience with large-scale heavy highway and civil projects.
• Proven ability to manage projects from pre-construction to final closeout.
• Strong negotiation skills and relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all project phases to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop schedules with critical path and resource allocation.
• Lead project teams including field supervision and subcontractors.
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain continuity.
• Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
