Job Summary: NOTE: This position can be remote for the right, qualified candidate.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Civil/Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage large-scale civil and commercial construction projects from pre-construction through final completion. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil and commercial construction projects.
2. Oversee all phases of construction including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
3. Develop and maintain project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera P6.
4. Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
5. Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and inspectors throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Monitor project performance, track progress, and report regularly to stakeholders and executives.
7. Manage subcontractor performance and ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
8. Proactively identify and resolve issues, risks, and change orders to minimize impact on timelines and budgets.
9. Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a zero-incident workplace.
10. Lead and mentor junior project staff, assistant project managers, and field teams.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
2. 8+ years of progressive experience in civil/commercial construction project management.
3. Proven experience managing projects.
4. Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and technologies.
5. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
6. Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and construction safety standards.
