The City of Columbia SC seeks an experienced Engineering Division leader to plan, direct, and manage the design, development, and implementation of City projects, renovations and installations. The role requires coordinating with executive leadership and staff to ensure compliance with laws, safety standards, and policies.

Responsibilities include budget management for capital projects, contract administration, supervising staff, and representing the department at civic meetings.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or closely related field.
• Eight (8) years of relevant prior experience.
• Valid South Carolina Class “D” Driver’s License; PE certified in SC.

Responsabilidades

• Plans, organizes and directs all activities and operations ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and safety standards.
• Directs capital improvement program budget and cost-tracking for projects.
• Coordinates projects with various agencies and stakeholders.
• Supervises staff, assigns work, and manages performance.
• Prepares reports and represents the department at civic meetings.
