Job summary

Houston Forensic Science Center, Inc. seeks a Network Engineer to support its IT network and security infrastructure in Houston.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical field or equivalent experience may be considered.
• CCNP Security or CCIE Security certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years designing, deploying, and managing Cisco FTD/FMC in enterprise environments.
• Minimum 3+ years with 802.1X NAC, guest lifecycle, profiling, TrustSec, and Cisco security features in Azure.
• Additional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or GIAC are a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Cisco FTD and FMC across enterprise environments.
• Configure IPS, malware protection, URL filtering, DNS security, SSL/TLS decryption policies.
• Deploy Cisco Secure Firewall in cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure.
• Maintain security architectures and SIEM integrations; align tech with compliance and business needs.
• Respond to Help Desk tickets and provide end-user support.
• Other duties as assigned.
