Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) in Honolulu, HI, seeks a Senior Cisco Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate a large DoD network infrastructure across multiple security enclaves. You will serve as SME for C2S2 networks, driving implementations, troubleshooting, and security hardening.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, CCNP and doD 8140.03-M compliance, and substantial experience with Cisco IOS, Firepower, ACI, ISE, F5, Palo Alto, NSX, SPLUNK, ACAS, and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• DoD 8140.03-M Intermediate Proficiency level.
• CCNP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, update, and secure network environments using Cisco products.
• Manage F5, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, SPLUNK, and ServiceNow.
• Lead projects with minimal oversight and ensure devices and applications are patched and secure.
• Perform STIG validations and monitor security posture with ACAS.
• Collaborate with developers to create workflows in ServiceNow.
• Configure LAN/WAN environments and manage network security and IT service requests.
• Create and maintain network diagrams and SOPs; provide monthly status reports to COR/TA.
• Occasional after-hours/weekend work to support outages.
