Job summary
Amazon in Boston seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer to shape the CI systems for EBS server software. You will drive the technical direction for distributed test orchestration, performance profiling across CPU architectures, and AI-powered tools that generate tests and surface regressions before production.
You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and partner with EC2 and EBS teams to deliver secure, observable CI services at scale, enabling fast, safe deployments.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical design and architecture for CI systems across multiple hardware architectures.
- Architect distributed test orchestration infrastructure running thousands of test suites daily.
- Drive shift-left testing strategies and quality frameworks for CI pipeline.
- Design intelligent test selection and qualification systems using AI/ML.
- Build secure, automated operational infrastructure for CI services.
- Design memory safety and performance profiling infrastructure at scale.
- Drive toward AI-native CI with automated test generation and predictive failure analysis.
- Optimize CI infrastructure costs while maintaining quality.
- Lead design reviews and establish best practices for CI reliability.
