Job summary

Maryland Department of Human Services is seeking a Licensing and Monitoring professional to provide ongoing consultation, supervision, and oversight for Child Placement and Residential Child Care Agencies. You will ensure compliance with COMAR regulations, conduct on-site inspections, review records, and coordinate with multiple state agencies to protect vulnerable youth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited program.
• Seven years of professional social work experience in a public or private agency or institution; four years in administrative, supervisory, or consultative roles.
• Substitutions or equivalents may be allowed for military service under state rules.
• Candidates must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.

Responsibilities

• License, re-license, and monitor agencies for compliance with state policies and directives.
• Conduct on-site scheduled and unannounced monitoring visits and inspections.
• Review records, conduct data and program analysis, and prepare reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with DHS, MDH, DJS, GOC, and related agencies and stakeholders to ensure safety and well-being of children.
• Prepare quarterly assessment reports with evidence and documentation.
