Job summary

State of Maryland seeks a seasoned professional to provide continuous consultation, monitoring, and supervision for child placement and residential child care agencies contracted or licensed across DHS, DJS, or MDH.

The role ensures protection of vulnerable children, enforces regulatory requirements, and prepares comprehensive assessment reports with evidence from inspections, interviews, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
• Seven years of professional experience in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or institution, four years in an administrative, supervisory or consultative capacity.

Responsibilities

• Licenses, re-licenses, and monitors agencies for compliance with state policies and directives.
• Enforces COMAR regulations in monitoring actions including on-site visits and inspections.
• Reviews records of In-State facilities and conducts program evaluations and data analysis.
• Identifies violations and develops corrective action plans to ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Coordinates with DHS, MDH, DJS, GOC and other agencies to ensure safety and well-being of children.
