Senior Child Life Specialist
Pay Range $58,593.60 to $87,880.00
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Senior Child Life Specialist (CLS) is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate support as a member of a multi-disciplinary care team working with pediatric customer owners who are experiencing a variety of developmental, mental and/or emotional challenges in medical settings. The Senior Child Life Specialist is responsible for using the principles of child life assessments and interventions to make meaningful coping plans and partner with the customer owner, family, and care teams to provide support through their healthcare experience. In addition, the Senior Child Life Specialist is responsible for mentoring and coaching staff assigned to them on the Nuka System of Care and Child Life Associate development plans.
Qualifications:
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population.
