Northrop Grumman is hiring a Sr. Staff - Chief Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary teams in Huntsville, AL or Roy, UT. You will own end-to-end system design, MBSE practices, and liaison with customers and suppliers to deliver a capable weapon system.

The role emphasizes engineering process excellence, risk management, and adherence to DoD standards, with competitive compensation and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 16+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 14+ years, or PhD with 12+ years.
• US Citizen with active Secret Clearance; able to obtain Top Secret/SAP as required.
• 12+ years leading cross-functional engineering teams on missile/aerospace programs with MBSE, PLM/CAD, and DoD standards.
• Experience interpreting physics-based modeling to influence design decisions and performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering processes across all disciplines are sound and compliant.
• Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary IPTs delivering technical direction.
• Own end-to-end system design, integration, verification, and MBSE activities.
• Chair major technical reviews and communicate with customers, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Identify risks, implement mitigations, and drive program-level actions.
• Drive technical execution aligned with the Integrated Master Schedule.
