Job summary

JLL seeks a Chief Engineer in Miami to lead the seamless operation of all building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC. You will supervise engineers and maintenance staff, oversee preventive maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance while managing contractor activities and safety programs.

Responsibilities include inventory control, safety training, and expanding team capabilities, with a focus on reliability and operational excellence in a critical facility environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years facility-related work experience with building systems knowledge.
• At least 5+ years in supervising engineers or technicians.
• Hands-on experience with critical infrastructure including UPS, ATS, STS, and PDUs.
• Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of complex building systems and infrastructure.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and repair schedules for HVAC and critical systems.
• Manage contractors and ensure compliance with CFWA processes.
• Maintain safety programs and regulatory documentation.
• Provide training and technical support to operations staff.
