Job summary

Nabors Industries' Hexegen unit in Tomball, TX is seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to advance Hexite™ from pilot to commercial production. You will lead design completions, scale-up, and integration of reactor systems, working on-site at the Hexegen facility to drive reliability and product purity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize yield and throughput, perform safety analyses (PHA/HAZOP), and mentor junior engineers as the organization scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required. Advanced degree welcome.
• 7–12 years of process engineering experience in chemicals or advanced manufacturing.
• Hands-on with reactor systems and unit operations, turning pilot designs into running production.
• Strong process safety knowledge including HAZOP/PHA and OSHA PSM.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead completion and integration of process designs to bring systems to production readiness.
• Define configurations, equipment specs, and supporting systems for reactor integration.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to translate designs into manufacturable solutions.
• Evaluate pilot-scale operations to improve yield, throughput, and product consistency.
• Lead or support PHA/HAZOP studies and develop safety documentation.
• Mentor junior process engineers and support cross-functional projects.
