Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Lead Chemical Engineer in Des Plaines, IL on a hybrid schedule to support a range of UOP technologies. You will engage with external customers and internal teams to optimize, troubleshoot, and startup processes worldwide, with emphasis on platforming and related light fuels technologies.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering and 12+ years in process operations, engineering design, or UOP field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant technical experience including UOP Field Operating Service, UOP Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for UOP technologies including NHT, CCR Platforming, Fixed Bed Platforming, Penex, Butamer, ParIsom and related light fuels processes.
• Support both external customers (license/operating companies, EPC contractors, vendors) and internal teams.
• Ensure transfer of technology to customer units that operate safely and profitably, and deliver value-added services.
• Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Engineering teams on technology delivery and improvements.
• Participate in NPI and BTI projects and drive continuous improvements.
• Participate in customer and engineering review meetings (design basis, PFD, P&ID, MFD, Plot Plans, HAZOP, etc.).
• Conduct on-site commercial unit audits.
• Prepare and update operating manuals, process technology manuals, and training materials.
