Honeywell in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Lead Chemical Engineer for Gasoline Technologies. You will support UOP platforming and related processes, collaborating with internal and external customers to optimize and startup technologies globally.

The role reports to the Senior Chemical Engineering Manager and operates on a hybrid schedule from Des Plaines, IL with an initial 90 days onsite requirement. A strong background in process technology and engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant technical experience including UOP Field Operating Service, UOP Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for a range of UOP technologies including NHT, CCR Platforming, Fixed Bed Platforming, Penex, Butamer, ParIsom and other light fuels process technology.
• Support external and internal customers across licenses, EPC contractors, vendors, and R&D, Engineering, and Sales teams.
• Complete transfer of technology to deliver optimally, profitably, and safely in projects.
• Deliver value-added digital and other services to improve reliability and profitability.
• Participate in customer meetings and engineering reviews (PFD, P&ID, MFD, Plot Plans, HAZOP, etc.).
• Conduct on-site commercial unit audits and prepare operating manuals and training materials.
