Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Lead Chemical Engineer in Des Plaines, IL, focusing on Gasoline Technologies. You will provide technical support for multiple UOP processes and collaborate with global teams to optimize startup and operation of licensed units.

The role reports to the Senior Chemical Engineering Manager and requires extensive experience in chemical engineering, strong problem solving, and clear communication. The position offers a hybrid schedule with 90 days onsite initially.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of relevant technical experience in process operations, technical service, or engineering design.
• Experience with UOP Field Operating Service or related technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for UOP technologies including NHT, CCR Platforming, Fixed Bed Platforming, Penex, Butamer, ParIsom and other light fuels processes.
• Support external and internal customers to optimize, troubleshoot, and startup UOP technologies and services.
• Participate in design reviews and engineering meetings (PFD, P&ID, MFD, Plot Plans, HAZOP).
• Conduct on-site unit audits and develop operating manuals and training materials.
