Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) in California is seeking a Sr. Chassis Test & Development Test Planning Engineer to drive test planning and coordination for CTD-led vehicle development activities.

The role covers prototype evaluations, calibration, on-site and off-site testing, and fleet management throughout the vehicle lifecycle, with exposure to diverse test environments and close collaboration with Hyundai/Kia affiliates in North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; 7+ years automotive engineering.
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, NVH, braking, and powertrain.
• Proficient in planning, executing, and monitoring projects.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; able to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate CTD-led development activities and prototype evaluations.
• Coordinate seasonal testing (Summer in Death Valley, Winter in Minnesota).
• Manage test vehicle fleet, shipments, check-in, inventory, and disposal.
• Track vehicle registrations and equipment assets.
• Create and present technical reports.
• Interface with Hyundai/Kia affiliates in North America.
