Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) in Irvine seeks a Senior Chassis Engineer for the Investigation role focused on quality and customer satisfaction across chassis, trim, and body systems.

As a senior engineer you will lead field investigations, analyze data, coordinate with vendors, and present technical reports while mentoring junior engineers. Travel up to 30% is required; on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
• 7+ years of QA/QC or vehicle quality investigation & root cause analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; travel up to 30% is required.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and support testing of chassis quality issues across Hyundai, Genesis, or Kia vehicles.
• Analyze data to diagnose root causes and validate improvements.
• Benchmark designs, TSBs, and market studies to enhance systems and materials.
• Research and adopt new data acquisition tools and methods.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage schedules to meet contracts.
