Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. seeks a Chassis Engineer II for the Chassis/Trim/Body Team to investigate and resolve chassis quality issues across Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia models.

This on-site role emphasizes QA/QC, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with suppliers and plants. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in automotive engineering with strong knowledge of chassis systems, test methods, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in QA/QC, quality improvement, or vehicle quality investigation & root cause analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
• Strong knowledge of chassis fundamentals (NVH, brakes, steering, suspension).

Responsibilities

• Investigate and support testing of chassis quality issues and respond to requests from Hyundai Motor Group, affiliates, and plants.
• Analyze data to diagnose root causes and validate improvements.
• Benchmark competitor designs and service bulletins to enhance systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage timelines to meet contract requirements.
• Create and present technical reports as needed.
