Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks an engineer to join the Chassis Engineering Design Team. You will contribute to brake system design, development, and validation for U.S. SUVs, pickups, and off-road vehicles.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, CAD modeling in CATIA, and rigorous testing to ensure durability, performance, and reliability across diverse terrains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering or related field.
• Experience in chassis and brake system design for SUVs, pickups, or off-road vehicles.
• Knowledge of brake system components and CAD-based development.
• Experience with CATIA and PLM systems for design and release.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate brake systems for SUVs, pickups, and off-road vehicles.
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings; support prototyping and production releases.
• Perform FEA/NVH analyses and iterate designs based on data.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams throughout APQP/PPAP.
