Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a Chassis Driveline Engineer to join the Chassis Engineering Design Team. You will design and validate driveline systems for U.S.

SUV, pickup, and off-road vehicles, collaborating across Vehicle Dynamics, Suspension, Powertrain, NVH, and Manufacturing. You will deliver robust driveline architectures and support DVP&R efforts. The role requires end-to-end design, heavy CAD usage (CATIA V5/V6, NX, SolidWorks), and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in chassis and suspension design, with driveline focus.
• Experience with pickups, SUVs, or off-road vehicles preferred.
• CAD experience and ability to create 2D/3D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Driveline design and development for 4WD/AWD vehicles end-to-end.
• Design axles, shafts, differentials to meet durability goals.
• Support validation plans, bench/vehicle tests, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Dynamics, Suspension, Powertrain teams.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement improvements.
• Create documentation, CAD models, and DFMEAs.
