The role demands an 8+ year track record, a standout portfolio, and mastery of real-time pipelines using ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, and Photoshop.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional character art experience in games.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating character work and range.
• Expert in real-time character pipelines and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Create benchmark characters, creatures, and weapons from high-res sculpts through modeling, topology, UVs, and textures.
• Own complex character assignments translating briefs into production-ready assets.
• Establish visual/technical standards through benchmarks, docs and practical solutions.
• Collaborate with art and cross-discipline teams to ensure assets read as intended.
• Mentor other artists and improve workflows; manage priorities with leadership.
• Provide craft oversight for external art vendors and review deliverables.
