Job summary

Bank of America is hiring an Enhanced Channel Underwriter to manage credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring for clients, in partnership with the client team. The role involves independent handling of transactions of limited to moderate complexity, performing credit analysis and financial modeling, and providing loan structure recommendations.

You will collaborate with Relationship Management and Risk teams, review junior staff work, and ensure compliance with policy and regulatory

Qualifications

• Commercial Banking underwriting experience required.
• Strong financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management.
• Analytical/technical skills including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity
• Independently works with Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure
• Has credit approval for certain credit actions
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners
