Job summary

Bank of America in New Jersey is seeking an Enhanced Channel Underwriter to manage credit underwriting and monitoring for a portfolio of commercial clients, working with Relationship Management and Risk teams to assess loan needs. You will perform financial analysis, modeling, and loan structuring, review junior staff, and ensure compliance with policy.

This role reports to Commercial Credit Manager and offers in-office collaboration with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid Commercial Banking experience.
• Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management.
• Analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally.
• Industry knowledge across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity
• Independently works with Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure
• Has credit approval for certain credit actions
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners
