Job summary

NASCAR is seeking an experienced Computational Fluid Dynamics and Aerodynamics Engineer to oversee CFD initiatives from CAD to post-processing and produce detailed analytical reports for new vehicle submissions. You will lead aero concepts with TotalSim USA and maintain models for all NASCAR series to support performance and thermal studies.

The role involves hands-on wind tunnel support, data analysis, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace engineering with relevant CFD/aero experience.
• Experience with automotive aerodynamics, high-performance or racing vehicles preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in lift, drag, ground effects and numerical methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CFD program in collaboration with TotalSim USA, managing aero team concepts from CAD through post-processing.
• Maintain CFD models for NASCAR's three national series, supporting performance evaluation and thermal studies.
• Assist with R&D wind tunnel testing including vehicle prep and data analysis.
• Support the new vehicle submission process.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Travel ~10%, including some weekends.
