Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / Specialty Technician to join our Murfreesboro team for field observations, inspections, and testing across a variety of construction materials and structural steel work. You may perform NDT/NDE work and GPR surveys as part of project requirements.

Ideal candidates hold ASNT NDT Level II and multiple advanced certifications, with 5+ years of related experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Requires ASNT NDT Level II certification(s) and at least 2 additional advanced industry certifications.
Minimum 5+ years of related inspection/testing experience in field construction environments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Perform field observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of construction materials and steel placements.
Conduct testing procedures for welded or bolted connections and structural steel using industry-standard methods.
Collect data, perform calculations, and prepare documentation with accuracy.
Maintain communication with site contractors and project managers regarding test results and site conditions.
Mentor junior technicians and participate in training opportunities as available.
