Job summary

Walgreens in Mount Pleasant, TN is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy under the supervision of the pharmacist. You will assist with dispensing, entering patient data, verifying medicines and processing third-party claims.

In addition to technical tasks, you will engage customers, maintain inventory, and support clinical services while ensuring compliance with policies and quality programs. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision with dispensing and patient interactions.
• Enter patient and drug information using pharmacy systems, verify accuracy and check interactions.
• Process manual claims for third-party prescription services and manage store inventory.
• Support and maintain compliance with company policies and quality improvement programs.
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure safe medication use.
• Handle cash register duties and direct customers to OTC products when appropriate.
