Job summary

Walgreens Wareham is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and staff in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. You will help fill prescriptions, enter patient and drug data, and assist with inventory and customer service.

The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification, one year of experience, and fluent English. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is necessary; immunization certification may be needed within 90 days of hire. Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations with a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in filling prescriptions and coordinating with patients.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems accurately.
• Support inventory management and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• Provide customer service and direct customers to OTC products as needed.
• Manage calls that do not require pharmacist attention and support clerical tasks.
