Job summary

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify medicine, and check for interactions.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management and order processing.
• Handle customer service and cash register duties.
• Support clinical services and coordination with providers and Walgreens clinics.
• Maintain compliance with Pharmacy Code of Conduct and company policies.
• Coach and train pharmacy technicians and cashiers in processes and tools.
