Job summary

Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative in Bronx, New York, is seeking a Senior Certified Perfusionist to assess and implement patient care for cardiopulmonary bypass during surgery. The candidate will set up and operate the heart/lung machine and consult with physicians regarding equipment.

The role requires an accredited degree in perfusion technology and certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Position is per diem, Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3 PM, with an hourly rate of $80.02.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NYS college with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree with a major in perfusion technology or graduation from a NYS accredited certificate program in perfusion technology required.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is required.
• BLS is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement the patient care requirements necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance before, during and after surgery.
• Set up and operate the heart/lung machine.
