Job summary

Qualifications

• Required Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or equivalent work experience in patient care.
• Minimum three years as Certified Medical Assistant.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains current CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/NRCMA/NRCAMA/RMA certifications or registry.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care under physician/APP supervision in ambulatory setting.
• Leads and mentors Medical Assistants within the practice.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation and documents in EMR.
• Assists physicians/APP during examinations and procedures.
• Schedules tests and consults; facilitates patient communications and education.
• Ensures efficient use of supplies and adherence to policies.
