Texas Oncology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Joe Battle, El Paso, TX location. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm with local travel to another clinic in El Paso.

Under direct supervision, you will support physicians and clinicians, perform clinic tasks, patient data collection, injections as delegated, and maintain safety and cleanliness of exam rooms. Experience levels range from entry to senior with CPR/BCLS requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Entry level requires 0-3 years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
• Level 2 requires minimum three years experience as a medical or nursing assistant; phlebotomy preferred.
• Level Sr requires minimum five years experience as a medical or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic.

Responsabilités

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Records patient data prior to visits (vital signs, height, weight, allergies, meds).
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures.
• Maintains exam/treatment rooms and stocks supplies.
• May enter orders under a provider's direction and supervision.
• Answers patient calls for referrals to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
