Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Certification Designer to shape data center workforce credentialing through rigorous exam development, psychometrics, and data-driven program innovation across AWS’s global Data Center Communities.

You will consult with SMEs, blueprint certification ecosystems, and lead credentialing strategy with senior leaders to deliver valid and defensible programs. You will design end-to-end certification lifecycles, facilitate SME workshops, and guide item writing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Technical Training, Design, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 5+ years of Learning & Development and course facilitation experience.
• Experience applying learning science, educational psychology, and instructional design to solutions.
• Experience delivering training across multiple sites or regions.
• Experience with data analytics to identify problems; auditing, coding, and documentation requirements.
• Mastery of job-task analysis methodologies; ability to facilitate SME workshops for defensible blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end certification programs from blueprinting to field testing and maintenance.
• Facilitate job-task analysis workshops to create defensible certification blueprints.
• Lead item writing workshops with SMEs for high-quality exam items mapped to domains.
• Apply psychometric techniques to ensure exam validity and reliability.
• Use analytics and feedback to iterate on exam design and item banks.
• Lead cross-functional projects, mentoring junior designers and raising standards.
• Design scalable item banks and architectures for multiple credentials and geographies.
