4LEAF, Inc. in California seeks a Senior Planner to lead CEQA review and environmental planning for public agency clients, while supporting current and long-range planning initiatives.

The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing scopes and budgets, and presenting findings at public meetings. Travel within California jurisdictions is required; a strong foundation in CEQA and land use is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning or related field.
• Five+ years of progressive planning experience including CEQA work.
• Experience preparing CEQA documents such as IS, ND, MND, or EIR.
• Strong knowledge of CEQA and California land use practices.
• Excellent writing, project management, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel to client jurisdictions in California.

Responsibilities

• Manage CEQA review from scoping through environmental clearance and documentation.
• Prepare and review environmental analyses, mitigation measures, findings and monitoring programs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across air quality, noise, transportation, biology and more.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality control.
• Prepare planning reports and present findings at public meetings and hearings.
• Support current planning assignments such as development review and entitlements.
• Contribute to long-range planning projects like General Plans and zoning updates.
• Stay current on CEQA, land use law and applicable regulations.
