4LEAF, Inc. is seeking a Senior Planner to lead CEQA reviews and environmental planning for public agency clients in California. The role focuses on long-range and current planning projects, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams and presenting findings at meetings.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in planning, 5+ years CEQA experience, and strong writing and project management skills; travel within California is expected, and a master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban/regional planning or related field; master's preferred.
• 5+ years of planning experience with CEQA project work.
• Experience preparing CEQA documents such as IS, ND, MND, or EIR.
• Strong knowledge of CEQA and California land use planning.
• Excellent technical writing, project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel to client jurisdictions in California.

Responsibilities

• Lead CEQA review from scoping through environmental clearance.
• Prepare and review environmental analyses, mitigation measures, findings.
• Coordinate studies and multidisciplinary teams (air, noise, transportation, biology, culture).
• Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, QC, and client communications.
• Prepare planning reports and present findings at meetings/hearings.
• Support current planning like development review, entitlements, land use.
• Contribute to long-range planning such as General Plans, housing elements.
• Stay current on CEQA and California land use law.
