Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a seasoned Environmental Planning professional in California to independently lead complex CEQA reviews, manage multidisciplinary teams, and advise clients in both public and private sectors. The role requires a proven track record in preparing and managing full Environmental Impact Reports from start to certification.

The successful candidate will coordinate scoping, technical oversight, impact and alternatives analysis, public review, responses to comments, CEQA findings,

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of CEQA/environmental planning experience.
Experience leading full EIR projects from initiation to certification.
Strong knowledge of CEQA statutes and California regulations.

Responsibilities

Lead preparation and management of CEQA documents (IS, NDs, EIRs, MMREDs, findings, MMRPs).
Manage complex projects including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, QA/QC.
Direct multidisciplinary teams and integrate technical analyses into CEQA documents.
Develop environmental review strategies and mitigation measures.
Lead agency consultations, stakeholder engagement, and public meetings.
