Job summary

J&J Worldwide Services seeks a seasoned Central Utility Plant Operations Manager to lead the CUP and supporting maintenance teams, guiding safety, operations, and long-term efficiency in a government facility.

You will oversee workload planning across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective documentation while coordinating with O&M staff and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and First Class Stationary Engineer certification.
• 10 years operating central utility plants and 3 years supervisory experience.
• Experience directing contractor staff for CUP operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CUP and supporting department’s workload activities and employees.
• Assign work orders and duties; review corrective and preventative maintenance.
• Investigate equipment failures and diagnose faulty operation to advise the project manager.
• Manage work orders to ensure timely, accurate completion and oversee contractor bids for maintenance contracts.
• Ensure conformance to contract requirements and review performance indicators to improve efficiency.
