Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a CSP Tech III-Central Sterile Processing for MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. This role handles decontamination, preparation, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments and serves as a liaison to the OR and labor and delivery teams regarding instrument care and use.

You will operate washers and sterilizers, perform daily testing, and maintain logs, ensuring readiness for same-day cases while upholding our mission, values, and patient-centered

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of Central Sterile Processing experience required.
• Certification: CBSPD or CRCST preferred.
• Good communication skills and phone etiquette.
• Critical thinking and knowledge of medical terminology related to instrumentation.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization, and storage of surgical instrumentation.
• Serve as liaison to OR and labor/delivery regarding instrument care and use.
• Operate instrument washer and all sterilization equipment for same-day use.
• Perform daily sterilizer testing and maintain sterilizer logs and supplies.
• Uphold the MetroHealth System mission, vision, values, and customer service standards.
