Job summary

Southeast Senior Services in Skagway is seeking a Site Manager/Driver to run the Skagway Senior Center and oversee transportation and related services for local seniors. Responsibilities include coordinating rides, supervising staff and volunteers, handling daily, weekly and monthly paperwork, and answering inquiries by phone.

This part-time role (15 hours/week) runs during the school year, with a starting wage of $25/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Alaska driver’s license and a good driving record for the past 18 months; no DUI or reckless driving in past 3 years.
• Familiarity with basic computer software and email.
• Ability to communicate with and relate to seniors in a positive manner.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation and access to other community services for seniors.
• Oversee other services and activities at the senior center.
• Supervise staff and volunteers.
• Timely and accurate completion of daily, weekly and monthly paperwork.
• Answer telephone inquiries and schedule rides as needed.
