Job summary

Senior Affairs seeks a capable supervisor to plan, supervise, and coordinate a senior center's activities, ensuring smooth operations and a strong link with other divisions and external agencies.

You will oversee staff, volunteers, budget development, and program delivery for health, education, recreation, and meals, while advancing goals and policies to improve service delivery for older adults in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in gerontology, sociology, recreation, or business administration.
• Four years of senior or community recreation services program management experience.
• Two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate center services including health, education, recreation and meals.
• Develop goals and policies; implement procedures.
• Identify improvements in service delivery; assess resource needs.
• Direct work plan; assign tasks; monitor progress.
• Recruit, train and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Oversee budget development and expenditures.
• Provide staff reports and liaison with upper management.
• Develop programs for diverse participant populations.
• Coordinate with other divisions and external agencies.
