Job summary

City of Folsom's Senior Center seeks a part-time assistant to support activities and deliver excellent public service at the Senior & Arts Center. You will help with programming, outreach, intake, and registration tasks, while ensuring a welcoming and safe environment.

You will assist in setting up events, coordinating with volunteers, and helping at the front desk. Prior experience with seniors is preferred; CPR/First Aid certification or renewal will be required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; some college is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old at time of hire.
• Previous experience working with seniors.
• Possession or ability to obtain a California driver license may be required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly Senior Center programs (Bingo, Better Balance, Off Key Singers, games, Meals on Wheels, Walk and Talk).
• Aid with intake paperwork, rosters, waivers and Rec Trac registration support.
• Uphold Senior Center standards to maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Maintain coffee station, cleanliness, and front counter support as needed.
• Help build relationships with community partners and assist with donations.
