Senior Neighbors Walker Center in Walker, MI seeks a Program Coordinator to oversee operations, plan activities, and ensure the well-being of older adults. You will coordinate meals programs and collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver engaging services.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and strong communication, organizational, and outreach skills, with standard M-F hours and opportunities for community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, recreational therapy, non-profit management, or a related field preferred.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to participate in public speaking events.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide variety of people.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Intermediate ability to use Zoom, Teams, and similar remote programs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the day-to-day operation of the senior centers.
• Design, schedule, and implement senior center activities, including health, recreation, and educational classes, special programs, and support services.
• Provide information and referral support and facilitate access to services and community resources.
• Develop outreach to recruit and retain center participants.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and recognize staff and volunteers to support center activities.
• Provide staff support to center advisory council.
• Compile and organize center records for reports and required paperwork.
• Participate in staff training and required conferences.
