Job summary

Carter Burden Network in New York, NY is seeking a Kitchen Aide/Dishwasher for a full-time onsite role. Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:00pm with overtime and possible Saturdays, at 351 East 74th Street.

You will support the Head Chef, prep ingredients, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and follow DOH guidelines to serve seniors with respect and care. English fluency and a NYS Food Handler’s license (or eligibility) are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and converse fluently in English.
• Good health and hygiene are required.
• NYS Food Handler’s license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Passion for Carter Burden Network’s mission and serving older adults.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and sanitizes items used in food preparation and service.
• Assists in prep for congregate lunch and supports dishwashing area.
• Stocks deliveries, receipts, and organizes storage.
• Keeps coffee station tidy and assists with serving and clean-up.
• Complies with DOH and DFTA guidelines for food safety.
