Job summary

New Castle County Department of Community Services is seeking a recurring part-time Senior Center Bus Driver position. These roles are up to 25 hours per week year-round, with applicants needing to be 18+, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Delaware CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of relevant supervisory experience; bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are preferred; duties include driving, assisting clients, and light center responsibilities

Qualifications

• At least three years of supervisory-level experience related to the duties.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Delaware CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement needed.
• Ability to supervise others; communicate effectively; maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Senior Center bus with adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Carry packages for clients.
• Assist with placing walkers and canes on/off the bus.
• Support at the senior center as needed.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance such as cleaning.
• Maintain schedules and records as required.
