Job summary

The City of Willoughby is seeking an exceptional individual for the position of Activities Coordinator for our Senior Center. This is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Center Manager.

A Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field and one or more years of municipal recreation experience are required, with strong leadership and communication skills. Starting salary is $51,985.40 and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation or closely related field.
• One year or more of experience in municipal recreation, or similar facility.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills.
• CDL with passenger endorsement preferred or obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate and implement recreational, social, education and transportation programs for seniors 55+.
• Recruit, interview and coordinate instructors, volunteers or staff.
• Develop transportation schedules and oversee transportation for programs.
• Coordinate use of facilities and maintain program records.
• Monitor inventory and maintain equipment; ensure safety and accessibility.
• Provide information to participants and ensure high customer service.
