Job summary
Colossal seeks a Research Associate in cell biology to derive, characterize and gene-edit non-model mammalian cell lines. You will work with the team to innovate genome editing, reprogramming and lineage differentiation using cutting-edge technologies; on-site in Dallas, TX with relocation assistance.
The role requires hands-on experience with primary cell derivation, electroporation and immunostaining, plus strong communication and record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Derive and characterize stable cell lines from primary tissues.
- Test gene delivery methods to optimize editing and viability.
- Maintain rigorous lab records and QC workflows.
Responsibilities
- Derive and characterize stable cell lines from primary tissues.
- Microdissection for cell line derivations and cryopreservation.
- Optimize gene delivery and editing in non-model mammalian cells.
- Expand clonal lines for QC assays and genotype confirmation.
- Collaborate with team on targeting, genotyping and QC workflows.
- Prepare reports and present progress at lab meetings.
