Apex Companies seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer / Project Administrator to lead CEI services on FDOT, LAP, and local transportation projects across Florida, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

You will manage project delivery, budgets, documentation, staffing, and client relationships; coordinate with FDOT, municipalities, and contractors; review pay applications and RFIs; provide mentorship to CEI staff.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Florida P.E. license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 5+ years of FDOT/Florida CEI experience.
• Experience in CEI leadership roles.
• Knowledge of FDOT specifications and construction documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the Senior CEI Project Engineer and Project Administrator on transportation projects.
• Manage delivery, schedules, budgets, documentation, and staff.
• Coordinate with FDOT, local agencies, municipalities, contractors, and utility providers.
• Ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, permits, standards, and agency requirements.
• Review pay applications, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Lead progress meetings and prepare project correspondence and reports.
• Oversee QA/QC activities performed by CEI staff.
• Verify quantities, materials testing, contract compliance, and contractor performance.
• Monitor project schedules and identify risks, delays, and constructability issues.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to inspectors and staff.
• Coordinate project closeout activities, final acceptance, and as-built documentation.
